Helping beginners learn to shoot

  • Home

Is lawlessness coming to your neighborhood?  Feel like you're on your own?  Your best defense is to be your own First Responder.

Life-threatening situations can develop quickly.  Help will be minutes away.  Our handgun training curriculum prepares you to deal with the most common types of defensive situations:
  •  Home Invasion
  •  Active Shooters in public places
  •  Sudden Confrontations that arise without warning

How to become your own first responder:

  1. Watch our defensive handgun training videos.
    — Beginners training, 10 videos + lesson plans
    — Intermediate training, 20 videos + lesson plans

  2. Get professional firearms instruction.
Do not try to learn to shoot by yourself.  Safety is the primary issue, and you cannot learn this from watching videos.
    — Find a qualified firearms instructor to help you master these skills.  Then you will be able to defend yourself and your loved ones.

  3. Practice—Practice—Practice!
    — Shooting is a skill that must be practiced, otherwise you will lose it.  Join a gun club and go shooting regularly with your friends.

How to find an experienced firearms instructor:

  • If you know people who are shooters, ask them for a referral.  You'd be surprised how many shooters there are.  However many of them are laying low in today's political environment.
  • Search online for local gun clubs.  Find one that offers beginners classes.  This is a good way to meet an instructor and also make new like-minded friends.
  • Visit a local shooting range.  Many offer beginners classes, and most can refer you to instructors.

How did we develop this curriculum?

Our gun club produced 60+ training events every year, over a 10-year period.  We participated in these events and watched what trainees did not know.  These are the skills that instructors most frequently had to stop and explain.  Based on this experience we created our training curriculum including videos and lesson plans.
